Outside of therapy, I'm an anime fan, a lover of old video games and horror game playthroughs, and a regular at book club. I enjoy spending time with my cat, laughing with my found family, and tracking down great food. I believe joy, connection, and a little bit of nerdiness are an important part of a full life, and I bring that same energy into the work I do.
Hi, I'm Tameron Smith, LMSW (she/they).
I'm an Athens native with a Master of Social Work from the University of Kentucky and a bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of North Georgia. As a Black, queer, neurodivergent, and first-generation graduate, I know that our identities and lived experiences shape the way we move through the world. My background in queer issues and harm reduction continues to influence the way I show up as a therapist: with curiosity, respect, and a belief that people deserve the space to live authentically.
As a therapist, I'm nonjudgmental but direct. I believe therapy should be a place where you can explore all parts of yourself, find your voice, and build a life that feels true to who you are. Whether you're navigating identity, life transitions, relationships, self-worth, boundaries, learning to prioritize your own needs, or the anxiety and depression that can come along with it all, I'm here to support you. I'll help you notice patterns, ask the good-ass questions that spark reflection, and create a space where we can be honest, curious, and probably laugh together too.
